Our online personality quiz, called Find Your Green Job, is an adaptation of the “Your Personality and Green Jobs” Student Worksheet from Activity #1 in PLT’s Green Jobs: Exploring Forest Careers guide.
This interactive quiz allows youth to answer a few simple questions online and get recommendations for a rewarding green career path that might suit their personality. Educators can try a no-cost version of the quiz to discover how easy it is to administer to youth.

Ten STEM Skills for Everyone
Employers are looking for workers who can communicate and collaborate, and who are creative leaders. PLT’s Green Jobs: Exploring Forest Careers guide includes a self-assessment for youth to analyze their leadership and people-oriented skills, as well as their technical skills in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
In addition to the Find Your Green Job Personality Quiz, use the worksheet “Ten STEM Skills for Everyone” with youth to conduct a self-assessment of their STEM skills.
The term “STEM” usually refers to occupations or learning approaches involving science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. While many people think of STEM in terms of technical skills, most green jobs also require leadership skills. This worksheet, included in Green Jobs: Exploring Forest Careers, lists ten STEM skills that encompass a wide variety of skills that can help any job seeker in the green economy, whether or not you are aiming for a STEM career.
